evolved into our current photography contracting service. We currently have
signed studios reaching into 41 States around the USA and have been
contracting out volume portraiture since 1992.

to participate in the upcoming season, we need to finish the pre qualifying
process 1-3 months in advance.
Who can
Timeless Studios School Contracts benefit?: Working photographers and Studios with extensive volume portrait
experience only, preferably from a major volume portrait company such as Olan
Mills or PCA. Photographer must have their own traveling studio
equipment, any format film camera and/or digital camera 4 mega pixel or
better. An existing staff or network of trained volume portrait photographers
increases your earning potential tremendously. We provide no training or
equipment; all shoot instructions are given in written/checklist form and
extensive volume portrait experience and proficiency is essential and
required.
What if I am
very interested but don't meet the above criteria?:
We require contractors to initially provide volume portrait
samples and to have had corporate-type volume photography training completed.
If you have not had
substantial volume portrait experience, we cannot book you on these types of
shoots. What you can do, if you don't meet the above criteria, is to team up
with someone who does qualify and work as a team.
What if I
have a question:
All
information is given on this web page to complete the pre- qualifying process.
Because we are not staffed to handle calls from photographers that have not
yet been pre qualified, please submit your samples and information per the
instructions below and allow 3 days for us to get back to you.
How to Pre-qualify: Please mail,e-mail or send links to your volume portrait
or school picture-type samples of toddlers and K-12 kids only, showing
your available backdrops, and any props you intend to use for Timeless School
Picture or Daycare shoots as soon as possible. Along with your sample
submissions, include only your contact information and any current or
past volume portrait employers and volume portrait experience. Please do not
send letters or resumes. If you have posted samples on the Internet, please
e-mail the web address or link of school picture or volume shoot type samples
of toddlers and K-12 children only.
E-mail tip: To be sure we can respond quickly to your email, please
include important info in your e-mail's subject line such as the words "sample
photo links" and "worked at Olan Mills" or "PCA".

How Timeless works: Timeless Network books volume contracts for schools
and groups nation wide. We do the advertising, marketing, pricing, sales,
setup, servicing and client follow up. We then set up strategic alliances
with the best photographers available to photograph in their own geographical
area and to network with other volume photographers all around the country as
supplemental work.
The general
scenario works like this:
We book a
school that is close to you then contact you with tentative dates. If you
decide to take the job, we send your instructions and supply you (and the
school) with the necessary paperwork. You photograph the job and send it in
along with your bill and we send you your payment. Commission jobs will have
a deposit upon scheduling with balance due when payments are received.
Timeless offers several types of Compensation: Photographer contractors get
a flat hourly rate for on-site time only including setup, tear-down, shooting,
and on-site paperwork. Starting rate for film shooting maximum is usually $25/hr. with an
increase at Management level available after proven performance and other
equipment, procedure and staffing requirements are met. Digital shooting is a
maximum of $30/hr. With prior approval,
overnight stays are paid a maximum $65 for lodging. The extra expenses we
reimburse are film, digital media, combs, shipping and shoot supplies. We do
not pay for driving or other off-site time, gas, meals, or breaks.
You can earn
additional income:
by Referring or managing other qualified photographers for Timeless jobs even
if they are not in your area.
To "Refer" a new photographer: Simply use the referral form on
our web site's page at
www.timeless-studios.com/Partner_Program.htm and have them submit their samples and work
experience per the method above. Only refer photographers that you have
spoken with regarding this service and whose work you think will qualify. Our web site's
Partner Program page gives details on a different program for referrals
submitted by Schools and non-Timeless-contracted individuals.
Manager Compensation: Managers are budgeted a maximum of $25/hr for
film or $30/hr for digital, for the
photographer's on-site time only, plus supplies reimbursement. Jobs that
are done digitally are paid more. Out of the budget, the Manager will negotiate a
portion to go to their photographers and keep the remainder. If the manager
is personally photographing a job, they retain the entire amount.
Manager tasks: Usually take a minute or two to complete and about 15
minutes cumulative total per shoot, providing no unforeseen complications
arise. Since all Management tasks are done via the Internet and phone, the
Manager does not have to be in the same area as the job being managed. All
work has a check list included for easy completion so little-to-no additional
instruction will be necessary for a properly experienced volume photographer.
More photographers managed equals more potential income. Timeless offers
Referral fees to your photographers to encourage them to bring in more
photographers for you to manage so you can earn more. Managers get paid
management income instead of the referral income and do not get paid for
both. If you know other good volume photographers anywhere around the
country, this is a good opportunity for both of you.
Manager Qualifications: To "Manage" jobs, you also must be a current,
active Timeless Contract photographer with proven performance, plus, your
business would need to have 2 qualified photographers. We require at least
one qualified photographer you can call if you can't make it to a shoot
personally. You would also need to have a Pager, Internet, E-mail, Answering
machine, Fax capability, and Cell Phone.
Franchising and fees: We are considering the possibility of franchising
in the future, however at this time we are not charging any up front fees. We
only ask that you do not solicit clients that we have booked for you and not
to use your association with us to book jobs outside our agreement. If after
reviewing the above you are interested in proceeding with the actual contract
